Pasta
- 8 oz linguine or fettuccine
Seafood
- 1 cup fresh lobster meat, cooked
Sauce
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Prepare Ingredients: Finely chop the garlic cloves and fresh parsley to have them ready for sautéing and garnish.
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine or fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Before draining, reserve 1 cup of pasta cooking water for adjusting sauce consistency if needed.
- Sauté Garlic: In a skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter until it is bubbly. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and slightly softened, being careful not to burn it.
- Add Cream and Cheese: Gradually stir in the heavy cream while mixing continuously to combine. Add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth. If the sauce appears too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
- Incorporate Lobster: Gently fold in the cooked lobster meat and squeeze the juice of one lemon over the sauce. Warm the mixture on low heat for a couple of minutes to allow the flavors to meld, being careful not to overcook the lobster.
- Combine Pasta and Serve: Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss gently until all the pasta strands are fully coated with the creamy lobster sauce. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Garnish with the chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- Use freshly cooked lobster meat for the best flavor and texture.
- Reserve pasta water to adjust sauce thickness for a silky coating.
- Do not overcook the lobster during warming to avoid toughness.
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese melts better and enhances flavor.
- This dish pairs well with a crisp white wine or a fresh green salad.
