Ingredients

Scale

Egg Mixture

  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Bacon & Cheese

  • 1 lb bacon
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Rolls & Topping

  • 1 (12 oz) package Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon ranch dressing mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by spraying it with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together 8 large eggs, 1/4 cup heavy cream, and salt and pepper to taste until fully combined.
  3. Scramble Eggs: Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and cook, stirring frequently, until the eggs are softly scrambled but fully cooked. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Cook Bacon: In the same or another skillet over medium-high heat, cook 1 lb of bacon slices until crispy. Once cooked, remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat. Cut each slice into 4 pieces and set aside.
  5. Prepare Rolls: Without separating the Hawaiian rolls, slice the entire loaf horizontally in half to create a top and bottom layer. Place the bottom half into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Layer Ingredients: Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the bottom half of the rolls. Next, layer the scrambled eggs evenly over the cheese, followed by the bacon pieces. Top the bacon with the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Finally, place the top half of the rolls on top to form the sliders.
  7. Make Ranch Butter Topping: In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons melted butter and 1 tablespoon ranch dressing mix. Brush this flavorful ranch butter evenly over the tops of the rolls.
  8. Bake: Place the assembled sliders in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are heated through.

Notes

  • You can swap the cheddar cheese for another melty cheese like Monterey Jack or mozzarella if preferred.
  • For a vegetarian version, skip the bacon and add sliced mushrooms or sautéed veggies.
  • Make sure the eggs are not overcooked; soft scrambled eggs provide the best texture.
  • Use fresh Hawaiian rolls for sweeter, softer sliders, or substitute with dinner rolls of your choice.
  • These sliders are best served warm but can be reheated gently in the oven or microwave.
