Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 package Oreos (15.25 oz)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

Coating

  • 6 oz vanilla almond bark
  • Food coloring of your choice
  • Sprinkles of your choice

Instructions

  1. Crush Oreos: Process the entire package of Oreos in a food processor until they are finely ground into crumbs.
  2. Mix with cream cheese: Combine the Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese, mixing thoroughly until the mixture is well blended and uniform. Using your hands works best for an even mix.
  3. Form truffle balls: Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them into a freezer-safe sealed container. Freeze for 30 minutes to help them firm up.
  4. Melt almond bark: Heat the vanilla almond bark in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth. Add desired food coloring to the melted almond bark and mix well.
  5. Coat truffles: Using a spoon, dip and cover each chilled truffle ball completely with the colored almond bark. Before the coating hardens, decorate with your chosen sprinkles.
  6. Chill and serve: Store the coated truffles in the refrigerator until they are firm and ready to serve.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for easy mixing.
  • If you don’t have a food processor, crush Oreos by placing them in a sealed plastic bag and using a rolling pin to break them down finely.
  • You can customize the coating color with different food coloring to match any occasion.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For a firmer truffle, freeze for an additional 10-15 minutes after coating.
