Burger Filling
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 fat content recommended)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (half of 1 cup)
Assembly
- 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits each)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (remaining half of 1 cup)
Parmesan Garlic Topping
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Prepare Your Ingredients: Gather all ingredients and preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove biscuit dough from the cans and let it come to a workable temperature.
- Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking the meat into small crumbles until no pink remains and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Drain excess grease if necessary. Stir in garlic powder and half of the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and blended with the beef. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
- Assemble Your Cheeseburger Bombs: Flatten each biscuit dough round into a 4-inch circle with your hands or a rolling pin. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the beef mixture onto the center of a dough circle, then top with about 1 tablespoon of cheddar cheese. Place another flattened biscuit on top and seal the edges firmly by pressing down. Repeat for all biscuits.
- Bake the Cheeseburger Bombs: Place the assembled bombs seam-side down on an ungreased baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until tops are golden brown and fully cooked through.
- Add the Parmesan Garlic Topping: While the bombs bake, melt the butter and mix it with grated Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Immediately after removing the bombs from the oven, brush the Parmesan garlic butter generously over the tops to add flavor and a beautiful finish.
Notes
- Use 80/20 ground beef for juiciness and flavor.
- Make sure to seal the biscuit dough edges well to prevent cheese from leaking out while baking.
- Let the beef mixture cool slightly before assembling to prevent dough from becoming soggy.
- Serve warm for best taste and texture.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
