Delicious and easy-to-make Oreo Cheesecake Cookie Cups featuring a crunchy Oreo crust, creamy cheesecake filling, and a light whipped cream topping. Perfect for parties and dessert lovers!

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 20 Oreo cookies
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Cheesecake Filling

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Topping

  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Additional crushed Oreo cookies for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for baking the cheesecake cups.
  2. Make Crust: Crush the 20 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a sealed bag and rolling pin. Mix these crumbs thoroughly with the melted unsalted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand.
  3. Form Base: Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners. Press about one tablespoon of the Oreo crust mixture firmly into the bottom of each liner to create an even base layer.
  4. Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until the mixture is fluffy and smooth. Add the sour cream and continue mixing until fully combined. If desired, gently fold in the mini chocolate chips to add texture and flavor.
  5. Fill and Bake: Spoon the cheesecake filling over the Oreo crust in each cup, filling them nearly to the top but leaving a little room to avoid spillover. Bake the cookie cups in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, just until the filling is set but still has a slight jiggle in the center.
  6. Cool and Chill: Remove the cheesecake cups from the oven and allow them to cool completely at room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate the cups for at least 2 hours to firm up the cheesecake filling.
  7. Add Topping: Before serving, top each cheesecake cookie cup with a generous dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle additional crushed Oreo cookies on top for garnish and extra crunch.

Notes

  • Softened cream cheese is best achieved by leaving it at room temperature for about 30 minutes before mixing.
  • If mini chocolate chips are not available, you can chop regular chocolates into small pieces or omit altogether.
  • Make sure not to overbake; the cheesecake filling should be slightly jiggly to ensure a creamy texture.
  • Refrigerate the cookie cups to allow them to set fully and enhance flavor.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute cream cheese, sour cream, and whipped cream with plant-based alternatives.
