Toast Base
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 tsp olive oil
Toppings
- 3 tbsp ricotta cheese
- 2 strawberries, sliced
- 2 tbsp walnuts, chopped
- 2 tbsp sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp honey
- Toast Bread: Toast the bread slices in a toaster for 2 to 3 minutes until they turn golden brown and crispy. Once toasted, lightly brush each slice with olive oil to add flavor and moisture.
- Spread Ricotta: Generously spread 3 tablespoons of ricotta cheese evenly on top of each olive-oiled toast slice to create a creamy base layer.
- Add Fruit and Nuts: Arrange the sliced strawberries evenly over the ricotta layer. Then sprinkle the chopped walnuts and sliced almonds over the strawberries to add crunch and nutty flavor.
- Drizzle Warm Honey: Warm the honey in the microwave for 5 to 10 seconds to loosen it. Drizzle the warm honey over the toast to add natural sweetness. Serve immediately for the freshest taste.
Notes
- Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor and texture.
- If preferred, substitute walnuts or almonds with other nuts like pecans or pistachios.
- For a vegan version, replace ricotta with a plant-based cheese alternative and use maple syrup instead of honey.
- Adjust honey quantity to taste for sweetness preferences.
- To make it gluten-free, use gluten-free bread slices.
